Experience the best dog-friendly glamping in the Yorkshire Dales at Catgill Farm, set in the stunning Bolton Abbey Estate. Our 3 fully-enclosed luxury pods, designed for both you and your four-legged friends, feature cosy blankets, treats, water bowls. The Stag and Pheasant sleeps up to 6 (maximum 4 adults), while the Duck sleeps up to 4. Enjoy a private hot tub, 3-in-1 fire pit, with BBQ and pizza oven, ensuring a premium glamping experience for all!

PS: If you don’t have a dog, you can still book these pods! We just won’t add our dog-friendly features.

Fully-Enclosed Fences

Each of our dog-friendly pods, the Duck, Stag, and Pheasant have their own secure enclosed area, giving your dog plenty of space to wander and enjoy the outdoors while you relax in the hot tub with complete peace of mind.

The Dog Bunk

In the Dog Bunk (the Duck Pod), your four-legged companion can cosy up in a luxury, memory foam Ivy & Duke bed in their own bunk. They’ll also receive a welcome pack filled with Just ‘Ere Fot Treats goodies, a branded tennis ball, poo bags, bowls, towels, and their own treat station. Outside, the pod is surrounded by secure, fully enclosed fencing so they can play and explore safely.

Things to Know
  • Check-in from 3:30pm, with check out by 10:00am. Early check-in is available from 1:30pm for just £30, and late check out until 12:00pm can be added for £30.
  • Our dog-friendly pods are The Duck, The Pheasant, and The Stag. Please choose one of these if you’re bringing a dog.
  • Our dog-friendly pod The Duck has an entire dog bunk fitted with a large Ivy & Duke bed, treat station, and enclosed area surrounding the pod.
  • Dogs are £25 extra on top of the base rate.
  • Each pod includes one parking space.
  • A £200 security deposit is required before your stay in our pods. This will be refunded after your departure, provided the pod is left in good condition.
  • Strictly no vaping or smoking in the pods.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the glamping pods fully enclosed for dogs?
Yes. Each of our three dog-friendly pods (the Duck, the Stag, and the Pheasant) has its own private, fully enclosed garden with secure fencing — the fences between pods join together so the space is completely contained. Your dog can enjoy the outdoor space freely without you worrying about them wandering off. If you have a reactive dog and would prefer a more secluded setting, we’d recommend the Twitcher at our sister site Howgill Lodge, which offers a more private layout.
How much does it cost to bring a dog?
We allow up to two dogs staying in a pod at £25 each. Each dog-friendly pod includes a welcome pack with treats, poo bags, dog bowls, and a towel for muddy paws, plus additional cleaning after your stay. Our Duck pod also includes a dedicated dog bunk with a luxury dog bed and blankets, a tennis ball, and a biscuit station for treats throughout your stay.
Can I use the hot tub with my dog nearby?
Yes. The hot tub is on your private patio, right next to your enclosed garden. You can relax in the tub while your dog plays safely in the garden. Many of our guests say this is the highlight of their stay. Just keep your dog away from the oven door of the hot tub as it can get hot.
What dog-friendly walks are near Catgill Farm?
Catgill Farm is set right beside the Bolton Abbey estate, so you can walk to riverside paths, woodland trails, and the Abbey grounds from the farm. The Strid Wood circular is a popular route, please note dogs need to be on leads in the actual woodland of Strid Wood. Skipton is 5 minutes by car with dog-friendly cafes and pubs, and the wider Yorkshire Dales National Park offers hundreds of miles of footpaths.
Are dogs allowed in all the glamping pods?
Dogs are welcome in three of our pods: the Duck, the Stag, and the Pheasant. These are our dedicated dog-friendly pods with enclosed gardens and all the extras. Our other pods and bell tents do not allow dogs. If you don’t have a dog but want to book a dog-friendly pod, you’re welcome to — we simply won’t add the dog amenities.
What dog amenities are provided at the pod?
Every dog-friendly pod comes with dog bowls inside the pod, a towel for muddy paws, and a welcome pack with locally made Just ‘Ere Fot treats and poo bags. You also have access to the on-site dog agility field and a separate dog walking area on the farm. The Duck pod has a few extras on top, a dedicated dog bunk area with a luxury dog bed and blankets, a tennis ball, and a biscuit station for treats throughout your stay.
