What size are the camping pitches?
We offer the following electric pitch sizes:
6 x 4- Campervans, tents, and roof tents
6 x 5 – For campervans only
6 x 6 – Campervans, tents, and roof tents
6 x 8 – Campervans, tents, and roof tents
Non-electric pitches are not allocated, so simply turn up and choose your pitch on arrival.
Do you offer electric and non-electric pitches?
Yes. We offer both electric and non-electric options, so you can choose the setup that best suits your stay.
Can I bring a campervan or roof tent?
Yes. We welcome campervans up to 6m and have suitable pitch options for roof tents.
Do you accept caravans or motorhomes?
No. Catgill welcomes tents, roof tents and campervans within the stated size limit, but does not accept caravans or motorhomes.
Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely. Dogs are welcome on our camping pitches, and there is a dedicated dog-walking and agility field plus a warm dog wash.
Can we have a campfire?
Yes. Raised fire pits are welcome and can be hired from reception. Logs, kindling and other fire-lighting essentials are also available to buy.
What are the shower and toilet facilities like?
Expect heated shower blocks, modern toilets and well-maintained washing-up facilities, with fridges, freezers, a kettle and microwave available for guests.
What time can we arrive?
Standard check-in is from 2pm. Subject to availability, priority pitch access can be added to your booking for arrival from 12pm and departure by 12pm
Is Catgill family-friendly?
Yes. Our car-free camping fields give children plenty of room to play and explore, while the adventure playground, playing field and resident alpacas provide even more to enjoy. Bolton Abbey is also within walking distance for easy family days out.
How far is it to Bolton Abbey?
Bolton Abbey is around a 10-15-minute walk from the campsite, depending on your pace. The stepping stones, riverside walks, and estate attractions can all be reached without taking the car.
How much do I need to pay when booking?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your stay, with the remaining balance due 60 days before arrival.
For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, the full balance is payable at the time of booking.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking within 24 hours of making it and receive a full refund.
After this grace period, please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change. Bookings cannot be amended, moved or cancelled within 28 days of arrival, and no refunds are available during this period.

Can we book as a group?
We do allow groups to camp together, but group bookings cannot be larger than 4 pitches.
